I have an data in an excel worksheet that needs to be placed in another worksheet. The format of the worksheets do not match. I have 5 columns of data that need to be place in the 2nd worksheet. This will be a recurring event. Any suggestions?

I need data from one worksheet to be moved to another worksheet on a recurring basis. Is there a way to automate this functionality? Does your product have this functionality?
It is only 5 columns; the column names are not the same.
Any guidance will be appreciated.

Hi there,

You can attach the file with the worksheets you mentioned to help we better understand and solve your problem. :)

Hi there,

Do you mean that you need to automatically move 5 columns from worksheet A to worksheet B on a recurring basis?
Are the columns in the fixed position? Since you mentioned the names are different so I suppose that we cannot move the columns by matching their names?

Data from worksheet A will go to worksheet B

worksheet A column A to Worksheet B column B
worksheet A column C to Worksheet B column I
worksheet A column D to Worksheet B column J
worksheet A column G to Worksheet B column L

Does that make sense? could we use a macro?

Hi there,

Please see the macro in the below attached file.

In ThisWorkbook and Module1, we set to auto move columns at 9:00 everyday.

In Module1, please change the below content according to your situation.

Hope this could help you :)
